Sprite & Tile Art
Character sheets, animated tilesets, parallax backgrounds, and UI — all built on a disciplined limited palette so your game reads clean on any screen.
OmegaPlayLab is a boutique studio in Surry Hills crafting hand-pixelled console games — from the first sprite sheet to the final gold master. Bring us a world; we ship it playable.

Founded above a record shop on Fitzroy Street in 2016, OmegaPlayLab grew out of a shared obsession with 8-bit and 16-bit console games. We keep the team small on purpose — every sprite, every sound chip loop, and every jump arc is tuned by hand.
We work with indie publishers, festivals, and studios who want a game that actually feels like the console era rather than a filter slapped on top. Everything ships out of our Surry Hills lab, tested on real CRTs and modern handhelds alike.
A clear four-stage pipeline so you always know what is being built, when it lands, and what it costs.
We sit down at the lab, map your core loop, and build a playable greybox prototype so the feel is right before a single sprite is drawn.
Sprite sheets, tilesets, and chiptune tracks come together while our engineers lock the movement, physics, and save systems.
Weekly playtest nights in Surry Hills feed a punch list of tuning fixes — hitboxes, frame timing, difficulty curves, and juice.
We build store-ready packages, certify for your target platforms, and hand over the full source, art, and audio libraries.
